Fort McCoy Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation
Dozens of participants took part in the Fowl 5k Run on Nov. 13, 2019, in front of Rumpel Fitness Center at Fort McCoy, Wis.
Run participants Tony Steinhoff and Theresa Ertl each won turkeys after placing first in the men's and women's categories respectively.
People participated despite snowy weather and cold temperatures. The event was coordinated by the Fort McCoy Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation.
Located in the heart of the upper Midwest, Fort McCoy is the only U.S. Army installation in Wisconsin.
The installation has provided support and facilities for the field and classroom training of more than 100,000 military personnel from all services each year since 1984.
