Naval Facilities (NAVFAC) Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center (EXWC) is hosting a traditional Hawaiian Blessing Ceremony for its OE35 Wave Energy Converter (WEC) Buoy at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam on Dec. 10, 2019.
The ceremony will consist of a traditional maile lei untying.
Guest speakers for the event include the technical director and ocean department head from NAVFAC EXWC, project members from Siemens, Ocean Energy, and other commercial partners who were instrumental in the creation of the OE35 WEC Buoy.
