HULMAN FIELD AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, Ind. (Nov. 14, 2019) - Educators, community leaders, industry and business leaders, and members of chambers of commerce, all gathered at the 181st Intelligence Wing, Hulman Field Air National Guard Base, Ind., for the “Enlist, Enroll, Employ through STEM Event” Nov. 14, 2019.
This particular event allows participants to see what the Indiana Air National Guard and the Indiana Army National Guard has to offer in the world of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
“This shows that the military has a lot more to offer than just crawling under barbwire and shooting guns,” said U.S. Army Lt. Col. Michael S. Hall, executive officer, 81st Troop Command. “We also have STEM education and see the importance for STEM education.”
During the event, participants experienced different STEM stations that the Indiana National Guard had on display.
“This is a great opportunity to be able to learn a little bit more about the tremendous things the guard does for the state and the country,” said Blair Milo, Secretary of Career Connections and Talent, State of Indiana.
