U.S. Army Recruiting Battalion - Phoenix

TEMPE, Ariz. – The Phoenix Recruiting Battalion conducted various Army themed events in coordination with Arizona State University’s Salute to Service college football game, between ASU and the University of Southern California, Nov. 9, Sun Devil Stadium, Tempe, Arizona.

As part of the activities, the battalion featured presentations from the Black Daggers, the official U.S. Army Special Operations Command Parachute Demonstration team and the 2/75th Ranger Regiment both of whom demonstrated their capabilities to the crowd.

The 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment was also present, having flown in an MH-60 Black Hawk for the event, which proved to be enormously popular with the game day public.

The Black Daggers landed on Sun Devil Stadium to rapturous applause from a patriotic crowd, just before Veterans Day on Nov. 11.

Lt. Col. Scott Morley, commander, Phoenix Recruiting Battalion, conducted an interview with ASU prior to the game and explained some of the opportunities in the U.S. Army, including over 150 jobs, signing bonuses up to $40,000 and paid college tuition.
