Chilean Navy visits with JIATF West

Joint Interagency Task Force West

24 September 2019, Honolulu — Vice Adm. Marcelo Gomez, Chilean Chief of Naval Operations, stopped to visit with Rear Adm. Robert Hayes, Director, Joint Interagency Task Force West (JIATF West) during a visit to U.S. Indo-Pacific Command. The Chilean Navy and JIATF West are looking to begin sharing information in support of counterdrug efforts. This meeting was the first step towards establishing a new interagency relationship.
