United States Air Forces in Europe – Air Forces Africa is co-hosting a European Partnership Flight event with the Portuguese air force Sept. 9-15 at Monte Real Air Base, Portugal. This event will include workshops focused on F-16 flight planning and operations, logistics support, supply and aircraft maintenance. Approximately 30 air force delegates from Bulgaria, Croatia, Morocco, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Portugal and the U.S. are participating in the event.
Partnership Flight events are a European Deterrence Initiative-sponsored security cooperation program executed with our European and African partner nations to improve professional military knowledge and skills. This multilateral military-to-military security assistance event is intended to strengthen existing U.S. strategic partnerships with key allies in Europe and Africa and to enhance collective defense posture, regional cooperation and interoperability.
