    U.S. Army Europe and Africa

LUCIUS D. CLAY KASERNE, GERMANY (Sept. 4, 2019) – U.S. Army Europe soldiers who completed the Nijmegen Marches earlier this year were recognized for their achievement by U.S. Army Command Sgt. Maj. Robert Abernathy, command sergeant major of U.S. Army Europe, at the post museum here, earlier today.

The Nijmegen Marches consist of four days where soldiers complete a 100-mile march in Nijmegen, Netherlands. It is an annual event where U.S. Army Europe soldiers march alongside troops from allied and partner countries.

After praising the formation for their achievement, Abernethy, presented each soldier who completed the march with a specialized coin.
