The Army Community Service hosted its annual back-to-school bash on August 9, 2019, at the Soldier and Family Assistance Center on Fort Bragg, North Carolina. The event is designed to help Soldiers assigned to the Fort Bragg Warrior Transition Battalion. It helps their families get free school supplies for the upcoming school year.
Family support program representatives, volunteers and Soldiers all came together to hand out backpacks filled with notebooks, pencils, pens and other school supplies to the families of Soldiers assigned to FBWTB.
Information booths for the Red Cross, the Wounded Warrior Project, and other programs helpful to Soldiers transitioning out of the Army were also set up at the event.
The event had games, an inflatable jump house and other activities for the children in attendance. It also featured a lunch with hot dogs, burgers and other food for those attending.
