U.S. Army Soldiers from Mihail Kogalniceanu Air Base in Romania participated in a three-game round-robin series of baseball games involving three nations. Soldiers from the United States came together with Romanian and Bulgarian baseball players for three games at Tei Stadium in Bucharest, Romania, July 20, 2019. The friendly competition was part of the Jackie Robinson Project, and all the players from each team wore the number 42 on their uniforms in honor of the renowned sports icon. The project is designed to deepen the partnerships between the participating nations and increase morale.
