97th Air Mobility Wing

The Altus AFB 97th Security Forces Squadron hosted a Sheepdog Shootout in celebration of Police Week, May 15, 2019, at the 97 SFS base Firing Range. This event invited members of the 97th Air Mobility Wing to compete against each other in morale and skill building activities. The shootout consisted of four different stations where participants had to shoot through obstacles that tested their skills and accuracy. The winner of the shootout was calculated through multiple factors including the amount of ammunition used, the time it took to complete the course and the amount of shots that missed the target. Overall, the Sheepdog Shootout allowed the opportunity for the 97th SFS to showcase different scenarios they may be faced with in the field to the base while participating in activities that help improve skills.
