LTC Susan "Andi" Tallman assumes command of 2nd Medical Recruiting Battalion at Redstone Arsenal, AL.
LTC Tallman takes command from COL Warren Stewart who spent the past two years with the battalion, which is currently tops in the Medical Recruiting Brigade commissioning more medical professionals and chaplains this year.
Tallman spoke briefly at Friday's ceremony, prepared to hit the ground running.
"In the short amount of time that I've been here, I've been working with Colonel Stewart, like he said for three weeks. I am extremely impressed with the professionalism and dedication of the soldiers and civilians in this battalion. Your enthusiasm to our mission is critical to the overall success of Army medicine. I look forward to working with you. Now lets get to work and put 'em in boots. Gladiator 6 signing on."
LTC Tallman takes command of a battalion with 125 soldiers and 18 civilian personnel recruiting medical professionals over eight states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
