The American flag is a staple in our nation’s history. June 14, 2019, marks the 242nd anniversary of the adoption of the current American flag design.
In 1916, U.S. President Woodrow Wilson, made June 14 “Flag Day”, but wasn’t until 1946 that it was officially passed by an act of congress.
