Numerous members of the Fort McCoy workforce and community took part in several Memorial Day observances in local communities near the post.
Fort McCoy sent speakers to Bangor, Norwalk, Solon Springs, Merrillan, and Hillsboro, Wis.
The support is part of the installation's community relations program coordinated with the Fort McCoy Public Affairs Office. Memorial Day and Veterans Day are two days every year that are busy with community support from Fort McCoy personnel.
Located in the heart of the upper Midwest, Fort McCoy is the only U.S. Army installation in Wisconsin.
The installation has provided support and facilities for the field and classroom training of more than 100,000 military personnel from all services each year since 1984.
