    Story by Sgt. Malcolm Cohens-Ashley

94th Army Air and Missile Defense Command

An air defense battle management system operator assigned to the 94th Army Air and Missile Defense Command, Sgt. Madison Pritts, graduated from Advanced Leaders Course and earned the title of the Distinguished Leader Graduate on April 12, 2019 at the Non-Commissioned Officer Academy in Fort Sill, Oklahoma.

Pritts, a native of Fayetteville, Georgia, was born into a household in which both of her parents were prior Army, which she attributes to her discipline and a strong work ethic from an early age.

After graduating high school, she enrolled in college and found work at a local restaurant. In 2008, she decided to enlist in the United States Army. Once she joined, she used the tools and discipline that helped raise her, to excel in her new career.

“I enjoy pushing/testing myself on what I can do,” said Pritts. “My parents loved serving and my children love that I do as well.”

As she has continued to climb her way through the ranks in the Army, she has achieved success along the way. Earning the title of Distinguished Leader Graduate in any ALC course is no easy feat; it is something that must be earned through hard work and dedication.

Being highly successful was not her top priority while attending the leadership school. She wanted to remain focused on education and personal development.

“For me, becoming the Distinguished Honor Graduate or the Distinguished Leader Graduate was not my goal,” she said. “I wanted to learn as much as I could and figure out how far I could push myself in that type of environment.”
