MCGHEE TYSON AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, Tenn. – A U.S. Air Force public affairs Airman assigned to the Air National Guard’s 134th Air Refueling Wing and the I.G. Brown Training and Education Center in East Tennessee earned four awards in the 2018 National Guard Bureau Media Contest, including awards for digital art, videography, and multimedia.

NGB, the federal instrument for the National Guard in Washington, made the announcement March 21 in a Guard-wide email.

“I was a bit shocked when I heard the news,” said Tech. Sgt. Jonathan Young, who serves as a full-time broadcaster for the ANG Prevention Action Group. “It’s a great honor to be recognized, but it’s an accomplishment I share with my team. I hope it brings more awareness to what the Prevention Action Group is doing.”

TEC’s Professional Continuing Education Division also earned a team videography award. The division holds more than two dozen broadcast and video production awards since 1998 from Department of Defense media competitions.
