Members of the Joint Base Langley-Eustis Sergeant Audie Murphy Club donated a Nintendo Switch to Naval Medical Center Portsmouth’s (NMCP) Pediatrics Ward.
“The purpose behind the donation is to give the kids that go there for treatment something to do while they are up there receiving their infusions or other procedures,” said Army Staff Sgt. Chris Lynch.
Lynch said the Sergeant Audie Murphy Club is designed to acknowledge non-commissioned officers who have achieved the highest level of leadership.
“The purpose of the club is to be stewards of the Army profession by doing community volunteer events, mentoring younger leaders and giving back to the community, as well as building the non-commissioned officer corps,” Lynch said.
