    624th Regional Support Group

    JOINT BASE PEARL HARBOR-HICKAM, Hawaii – Reserve Citizen Airmen from the 624th Regional Support Group were recently recognized with the Group’s 2018 Airmen of the Year awards during a presentation here March 3.

    These 624th RSG annual awards acknowledged Airmen for their superior leadership, job performance and personal achievements.

    “Our Airmen are our most valuable resource, and it’s important to recognize them for their accomplishments and contributions to the Total Force and the community,” said Col. Athanasia Shinas, 624th RSG commander. “Recognition is part of my commitment of taking care of our Airmen.”

    The 624th RSG 2018 Airmen of the Year are:
    - Airman of the Year category: Senior Airman Shella Curry, a health services management journeyman with the 624th Aeromedical Staging Squadron
    - Noncommissioned Officer of the Year category: Tech. Sgt. Shymika Byard, an aerospace medicine services journeyman with the 624th Aeromedical Staging Squadron
    - Senior Noncommissioned Officer of the Year, Senior Master Sgt. Jaylene Cadiente, the superintendent of health services management with the 624th Aeromedical Staging Squadron
    - Company Grade Officer of the Year, Capt. Deborah Lichota, a critical care nurse with the 624th Aeromedical Staging Squadron

    “These Airmen made a significant impact for our Group and the Air Force Reserve,” said Chief Master Sgt. Danyell Stoutamire, the 624th RSG command chief. “I’m proud they’re part of our team.”

    The 624th RSG provides nearly 700 combat-ready Airmen who specialize in aerial port, aeromedical support and civil engineering operations for worldwide employment, promoting peace and stability in the Asia Pacific region and world-wide. The Group delivers mission essential capability of providing throughput for passengers and cargo, patient care, and runway repair in the Pacific.
