    USS Princeton Supports Seal Beach 75th Anniversary

    SEAL BEACH, Calif. – The guided missile cruiser USS Princeton (CG 59) arrived at Naval Weapons Station Seal Beach for a regularly scheduled port visit on March 19.
    On the weekend of March 23-24, the ship will be available for public tours in support of the naval weapon station’s 75th Anniversary celebrations. Princeton crew members will interact with local community members and provide educational opportunities for local leadership on the U.S. Navy’s mission.
    “We are greatly privileged to have the opportunity to showcase our outstanding Sailors, and one of the Navy’s finest warships to our fellow citizens in Seal Beach and the surrounding area,” said Capt. Justin A. Kubu, Princeton’s commanding officer. “The crew is looking forward to engaging with the local community and celebrating the outstanding support that Naval Weapons Station Seal Beach has provided to our operating forces.”
    A Ticonderoga Class cruiser, Princeton is a multi-mission platform capable of sustained combat operations supporting forward presence, maritime security, sea control, and deterrence.
    Commander, U.S. Third Fleet leads naval forces in the Pacific and provides realistic, relevant training necessary for an effective global Navy. They coordinate with Commander, U.S. Seventh Fleet to plan and execute missions based on their complementary strengths to promote ongoing peace, security, and stability.

    Naval Weapons Station Seal Beach is the Pacific Fleet’s premier ordnance loading and storage installation. The base provides munitions for a majority of the fleet's surface ships, and services approximately 40 U. S. Navy vessels annually.
