Urbana, Illinois – 1st Lt. Joseph Schultz of Chicago, Illinois, was awarded the Army Achievement Medal during a ceremony at the Urbana Readiness Center in Urbana March 3.
Schultz is a 36A, financial management officer assigned to Headquarters, Headquarters Company, 33rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team (IBCT), Illinois Army National Guard based in Urbana, Illinois.
According to the award citation, Schultz demonstrated exceptional dedication while conducting fiscal operations for the 33rd IBCT during its Joint Readiness Training Center rotation at Fort Polk, Louisiana, last summer.
