KABUL, Afghanistan – During the evening of March 20, Kandahar Airfield was subject to a rocket attack, resulting in the death of a contract worker, as well as injuries to six employees of the same company. No significant damage or impact on operations resulted from the attack.
Although subject to a number of previous rocket attacks, this is the first death at KAF caused by indirect fire. Immediately after the incident, five insurgents were captured and are currently being held at KAF for questioning.
