U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Europe District

Europe District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, held its annual Stakeholder Workshop Feb. 20 with more than 100 individuals in attendance from more than 70 agencies.
“This is a wonderful forum in which the cooperation and the coordination between the Army’s (Directorate of Public Works) that are inside of our great garrisons in coordination with and support of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers-Europe District come together,” said Michael Formica, IMCOM-Europe director. “I appreciate it. I looked over the agenda and I think it’s very rich agenda and I encourage open, frank, candid dialogue. That is the only way we are going to get better.”
During the opening session, stakeholders heard from and gave feedback to the Europe District employees that support their areas of operation.
“The message we want to enforce is we have folks positioned to be your one door to the corps,” said Col. John Baker, Europe District commander. “Our business is a team sport and our success is built on trust, which is very important to us.”
During the workshop, stakeholders received updates to specific programs, project schedules and contracting issues among other topics.
“This is an opportunity to discuss topics important to you so we can improve, raise the bar and execute,” said Lalit Wadhwa, Programs Branch chief. “The district’s mission is nested in our headquarters' mission and we wanted you to know that.”
