    HOHENFELS, Germany – Dam Strong!

Physical readiness remains a top priority for Soldiers, and leaders alike, and to help them better reach those personal and professional goals the Joint Multinational Training Center has purchased the BeaverFit training system and placed them around Hohenfels.

With the constant rotations and demands for Soldiers’ time, organized physical training or gym time might not always be feasible. That is where BeaverFit comes into play. BeaverFit is a portable, low maintenance, training system specific to the military services. To the average Soldier it may look like a metal storage locker with a JMRC logo. However, it is much more than that. This self-contained training system can be quickly assembled by Soldiers to produce several squat racks, a dip bar, multiple pull-up bars, a rope climbing station, a bench press, and a few Olympic lifting stations. With that equipment Soldiers can easily continue working on their physical fitness without disrupting their training obligations. In addition to that, this system is portable and can assist Soldiers at locations where a gym would not be accessible.

“When JMRC [Observer, Controller, and Trainers] travel away to places such as Poland or Romania and conduct training rotations in those locations, we can ship these connexes with them. So, when they are on site for 30 or more days, they have the fitness capabilities that they deserve,” said CPT Chad Peabody, Functional Fitness Coordinator.

JMRC has purchased 4 BeaverFit training systems and they are placed at various locations throughout the installation. Three, 10-foot-BeaverFit connexes have been distributed among the OCT teams and 1st Battalion, 4th Infantry Regiment has its own 20-foot connex. Although, these training systems were purchased with the Soldiers in mind, they are not exclusive to just the Soldiers. They are for JMRC personnel as well.
As the company’s logo states, “Become BeaverFit, Dam Strong”.
