At the 377th Logistics Readiness Squadron’s Personal Property Section in the Traffic Management Office, anyone who is retiring, separating or changing duty stations, including DoD civilians and families, will receive quality service and guidance from beginning to end on any upcoming
    move.

Located inside of the Consolidation Support Facility, TMO is there to provide counseling, feedback and assist in a smooth transition for those looking for information on their entitlements, house hold goods movement or non-temporary storage.

“Our section is important as it impacts the home,” said 2nd Lt. Maxwell Brown-Bass, 377th LRS distribution OIC. “We do our upmost to make sure that when you come in to or are on your way out of Kirtland that your property and family are taking care of when it comes to travel and transportation. We hope to make your move one less thing for you to worry about.”

With more than 1,600 customers served in 2018 the TMO team hopes to continue helping movers and make this part as smooth as possible.

According to Priscilla Coriz, 377th LRS Personal Property transportation assistant, they ask that those who are in the PCS process, to come in at three weeks before their projected move.

“Coming in at least three weeks or more before a move helps achieve the smoothest process since we have to send the request up to another location,” Coriz said. “The summer time is a busier time, so the earlier the better. Once you receive your orders you can come and see us.”

In addition to having one-on-one counseling to assist movers, the TMO office also provides quality assurance inspectors that go out into the field.

“As a way to keep the customer at ease, we ensure that the providers are honoring their contracts and enabling the members the ability to ask questions at their residence,” said Stanley Moore, 377th LRS Personal Property section lead.

“We also try to accommodate the dates that the customer is interested in for their move,” said Moore. “We want to keep this process easy because we know there are other issues that they have to address in the PCS process.”

During the one-on-one counseling, the member will be guided through their process and informed on different items that will be e-mailed to them throughout the entire process one including what documents are needed and the final e-mail confirming dates and moving companies.

“Our overall goal is to ease their minds, update the customers on all the processes we are doing for them and to encourage them to always call if they have questions,” said Coriz.
