    512th Airlift Wing

    DOVER AIR FORCE BASE, Del. – The 512th Airlift Wing announced its 2018 annual award winners during the wing’s ninth awards banquet Feb. 9, at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino in Dover, Delaware.

    Hosted by Col. Craig Peters, 512th AW commander, the awards banquet also recognized Air Force Reserve Command-level awards and other wing hard chargers and superior performers.

    In front of an audience of more than 250 wing and community members, the emcees Staff Sgt. Chardiney Wood, 512th Aerospace Medicine Squadron, and Senior Airman Chanelle Lamb, 512th Memorial Squadron, announced the 2018 512th AW Outstanding Airmen of the Year.

    Master Sgt. Nelson Alvarez, 512th Force Support Squadron, is the 512th AW Outstanding First Sergeant of the Year.

    Laura Coseglia, 512th FSS, is the 512th AW Outstanding Civilian of the Year.

    Capt. Jason Lowrey, 712th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, is the 512th AW Outstanding Company Grade Officer of the Year.

    Senior Master Sgt. Kelly Robbins, 512th AMXS, is the 512th AW Outstanding Senior NCO of the Year.

    Tech. Sgt. Markita Smith, 512th FSS, is the 512th AW Outstanding NCO of the Year.

    Staff Sgt. Zachary Cacicia, 512th AW Public Affairs, is the 512th AW Outstanding Airman of the Year.


    The annual award winners were selected from the 2018 quarterly award winners, which were also recognized at the event.

    The 512th AW first quarter award winners are:

    Frank Candalero, 512th FSS;

    Capt. Danielle Campbell, 71st Aerial Port Squadron;

    Master Sgt. Thomas Vilgos, 512th AW Inspector General, Inspections;

    Tech. Sgt. John Hauer, 712th AMXS; and

    Senior Airman Matthew Devern, 512th Contingency Response Squadron.


    The 512th AW second quarter award winners are:

    John Respoli, 512th FSS;

    Capt. Jason Lowrey, 712th AMXS;

    Master Sgt. Joshuah Morrissiey, 512th Civil Engineer Squadron;

    Tech. Sgt. Shaun Tucker, 712th AMXS; and

    Senior Airman Travis Beebe, 512th MAS.


    The 512th AW third quarter award winners are:

    Laura Coseglia, 512th FSS;

    Capt. Matthew Roy, 326th Airlift Squadron;

    Master Sgt. Matthew Cook, 512th AMXS;

    Tech. Sgt. Antonio Brandy, 512th Security Forces Squadron; and

    Senior Airman Zachary Cacicia, 512th AW/PA.


    The 512th AW fourth quarter award winners are:

    Capt. Elizabeth Hampton, 71st APS;

    Senior Master Sgt. Kelly Robbins, 512th AMXS;

    Tech. Sgt. Markita Smith, 512th FSS; and

    Senior Airman Colin McCready, 712th AMXS.


    The wing also acknowledged the following AFRC winners.

    Carl Palmer, 512th AW Safety Office, is the 2018 Outstanding Weapons Safety Civilian of the Year.

    The 512th AW/SE weapons section won the 2018 Outstanding Achievement Award for Weapons Safety.

    Alexis Lynn, 512th AW/SE, is the 2018 AFRC Outstanding Occupational Safety Civilian of the Year.

    The 512th AW/SE occupational section won the 2018 AFRC Outstanding Achievement Award for Occupational Safety.

    The 512th AW/SE is the 2018 Safety Office of the Year.


    The following were recognized as Unit Effectiveness Inspection Superior Performers:

    Master Sgt. Alexis Lynn, 512th AW/SE;

    Maj. Christopher Gott, 709th AS;

    Master Sgt. Bryan Muise, 709th AS;

    Senior Master Sgt. Ivan Fullerton, 512th CES;

    Master Sgt. Mary Sandor, 512th CES;

    Staff Sgt. Maura Phillips, 512th CES;

    Master Sgt. Keisha Wood, 512th FSS; and

    Staff Sgt. Alesha Ridgeway, 512th AMDS.


    The following were recognized as UEI Hard Chargers:

    Senior Master Sgt. Lucious Washington, 512th Operations Group;

    Senior Master Sgt. Michael Wright, 326th AS; and

    Tech. Sgt. Markita Smith, 512th FSS.


    The following teams were recognized as UEI Superior Teams:

    The 512th AW Equal Opportunity Office and the 512th FSS Education and Training.


    Also recognized were all the present 512th AW Key Spouses.
