Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash. – Inspectors general from all service branches traveled from different parts of the country to gather on Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash., to attend a week-long Joint Inspectors General Course Jan. 28 through Feb. 1, 2019.
Hosted by personnel from America’s First Corps Inspector General Office and the Department of Defense Office of Inspector General from Washington D.C., the Joint Inspectors General Course is designed to bridge gaps in terminology, processes and procedures by having the participants learn in a joint service environment.
Airmen, Soldiers and Department of Defense civilians came from various regions of the West Coast, including California and Texas, to attend the course.
“The purpose of this is to learn how to interoperate with the other branches when we’re in a joint environment and realizing that, as inspectors general, your mission comes down to standards,” said Director of Wing Inspections at Fairchild Air Force Base, Wash., Air Force Capt. Luke Reardon.
The Joint Inspectors General Course occurs quarterly on JBLM.
