Employees were busy preparing snow-making machines and operating groomers during early to mid-January 2019 maintenance operations at Whitetail Ridge Ski Area at Fort McCoy, Wis.

Whitetail Ridge, part of Fort McCoy’s Pine View Recreation Area, offers a variety of activities for the whole family.

The ski hill offers both downhill skiing and snowboarding.

The ski area is managed by Fort McCoy's Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation.

Located in the heart of the upper Midwest, Fort McCoy is the only U.S. Army installation in Wisconsin. The installation has provided support and facilities for the field and classroom training of more than 100,000 military personnel from all services each year since 1984.
