JOINT BASE LANGLEY-EUSTIS, Va. -- Col. Frank J. Lobash, 192nd Fighter Wing commander, welcomed the incoming commander of the 192nd Mission Support Group, Lt. Col. J. Stock Dinsmore, during an assumption of command ceremony, March 24, 2018, at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia.
The ceremony officially recognized Dinsmore’s command of the group and was an opportunity to welcome him in front of a large audience of Virginia Air National Guard Airmen.
Lobash opened the ceremony by recognizing the accomplishments of Col. Toni M. Lord, the former 192nd MSG commander, who currently serves as the VaANG director of staff.
“Col. Lord brought this group to some incredible heights,” said Lobash. “Believe me, her leadership continues, and she and I work closely together every day with her as director of staff.”
Upon receiving command and returning the group guidon to the custody of Master Sgt. Lacey B. Moore, 192nd MSG first sergeant, Dinsmore addressed the audience at the Langley base theater.
“My primary mission is to give you the resources, the manpower, the guidance and the top cover that you need to do your mission,” said Dinsmore. “Thank you for everything that you do every day. I look forward to being your leader here, and I’m truly blessed to have such a great group!”
Referencing Dinsmore’s past experience and accomplishments, Lobash said, “He brings that expertise, talent and leadership to us here in the Mission Support Group.”
Prior to his appointment as MSG commander, Dinsmore served as commander of the 203rd Rapid Engineer Deployable Heavy Operational Repair Squadron engineer. The 203rd RED HORSE is a geographically separated unit located at Camp Pendleton State Military Reservation in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He has served in the VaANG since 1997.
