    The Louisville District is hosting the Olmsted Locks and Dam ribbon-cutting ceremony, Aug. 30 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at the Olmsted Locks and Dam, located 567 New Dam Road, Olmsted, IL 62970.

    The event will include keynote remarks from U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky and Illinois Senator Richard Durbin, Secretary of the Army Dr. Mark Esper, Assistant Secretary of the Army for Civil Works, Mr. R.D. James, and Chief of Engineers Lt. Gen. Todd Semonite. The ceremony will also feature the dedication of the Wicket Lifter Keen, and the first commercial lockage through the facility.

    Media Opportunity: Immediately following the ceremony, two 15-minute press panels will occur on the ribbon cutting stage. All media are encouraged to stay for both panels.
