America's First Corps commander, Lt. Gen. Gary Volesky hosted the Semi-Annual I Corps Commanders Conference at American Lake Conference Center On Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Aug . Commanders from across I Corps' area of operations assembled to discuss readiness, resiliency and the state of the corps. Gen. Curtis M. Scaparrotti, Commander, U.S. European Command and NATO Supreme Allied Commander, Europe, was a guest speaker during the conference. Scaparrotti, also a former I Corps commander, conducted a battlefield circulation and observed some of the changes made to the installation since his time as commander.
