WIESBADEN, Germany -- More than 45 exhibitors displayed current and emerging technology and capabilities for military and government at the U.S. Army Garrison Wiesbaden Tech Expo, July 26, 2018, in the Clay Kaserne Fitness Center gymnasium in Wiesbaden.
Dr. Steven Carter, a Department of the Army Civilian assigned to the 2d Theater Signal Brigade S-3 Plans, Operations and Training section, said he saw several great commercial solutions on display.
“Some of the innovations are a lot ahead of where we’re at, but they’re future focused and where we need to be. As the battlefield changes, as the adversary matures and develops and advances, so should our technologies, and many of the solutions are right here in this room,” Carter said.
He said it’s important for military and government to interact with industry because any piece of equipment or software solution for a problem will come from a vendor.
“Vendors are already part of the equation, so now we have to make them part of the discussion,” Carter said.
The USAG Wiesbaden Tech Expo was organized by National Conference Services, Inc., and sponsored by the U.S. Army Europe G-6. For more information go to the National Conference Services, Inc. website at www.ncsi.com.
