Aviation and Missile Command’s Commander Maj. Gen. Doug Gabram presented more than 30 awards during the AMCOM town hall meeting Thursday in Bob Jones Auditorium.

They ranged from AMCOM MVP to the Army Commendation Medal.

“The commanding general hosts our town hall meeting regularly in order to better communicate with our workforce,” AMCOM Chief of Staff Col. Shawn Prickett said. “It’s an opportunity for (Maj. Gen.) Gabram to update the entire AMCOM team on his priorities, share our successes and recognize people for their achievements.

“Our depot teams and other organizations outside of Redstone Arsenal typically video-teleconference in, so we truly have the entire AMCOM family gathered together at one time. This town hall was particularly special because of the high number of employees recognized with awards for their achievements, and everyone had the opportunity to hear the CG’s priorities and raise key issues.”

Gabram presented awards to several AMCOM team members. He presented Capt. Catherine Godfrey an Army Commendation Medal for her service as the officer in charge of the 2018 Redstone Arsenal Tax Center. The commander presented Fred Peiper, AMCOM G-3/5 lead strategic planner, the Superior Civilian Service Award. Gabram also congratulated – via teleconference – Wade Pasquarella of the Aviation Center Logistics Command at Fort Rucker for receiving the 2017 Louis Dellamonica Award. Pasquarella was recognized as one of 10 Army Materiel Command recipients. He was specifically selected for his work in development of the maintenance contract at Fort Rucker which will ensure support to the Army and Air Force’s flight training for the next 10 years.

During the meeting, Gabram introduced several new key leaders who are assuming positions within the command. In addition he bid farewell to senior leaders who are moving on to new positions.

Gabram closed out the meeting with several safety tips, encouraging the AMCOM team to enjoy their summer safely.
