HULMAN FIELD AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, Ind. — Free financial counseling services are being provided to military servicemembers both on base and in different locations throughout Indiana.
Laura Cabrera, an accredited financial counselor currently assigned to the Terre Haute area, assists military servicemembers with family financial management, financial problem resolution, and long-term financial goal planning.
Cabrera is one of several personal financial counselors with the Office of Financial Readiness Program, and she is able to meet with servicemembers during the week and on UTA weekends. She can also meet with servicemembers off-base within a 50 mile radius from Hulman Field Air National Guard Base, Indiana. Additionally, Cabrera can refer servicemembers to other personal financial counselors located in different parts of Indiana, including Camp Atterbury, South Bend, Grissom Air Reserve Base, Evansville and Indianapolis.
We provide financial services free of charge, and we do not sell products, said Cabrera. We offer financial counseling to help people manage their finances so their finances do not manage them.
Airmen with the 181st Intelligence Wing have already benefitted from the services offered by the counselors.
Servicemembers can meet with Cabrera in Building 3 at Hulman Field.
