JACKSON, Miss. – The Mississippi National Guard will host its annual Retiree Day May 10, 2018, at 10 a.m. at the Mississippi Armed Forces Museum at the Camp Shelby Joint Forces Training Center.
The event will honor Mississippi Army and Air National Guard retired Service members and their families for outstanding service to their state and country.
Maj. Gen. Janson D. Boyles, the adjutant general of Mississippi, Col. Bobby M. Ginn, Camp Shelby commander, and Command Sgt. Maj. John T. Raines, MSNG senior enlisted advisor, will be present to welcome retirees and their families for a time of reflection and fellowship with military comrades.
Media representatives desiring to cover Retiree Day should contact 2nd Lt. Rachel Henson at (601) 988-5949 or via email at rachel.c.henson.mil@mail.mil and arrive no later than 9:30 a.m. at the Camp Shelby South Gate on Highway 49 South. A public affairs representative will be standing by to escort media to the museum.
