    Marine Forces Reserve (MARFORRES)

Cpl. Dalen P. Reed is a Lawrence, Kansas, native and Reserve Marine with Detachment 1 Supply Company, Combat Logistics Battalion-453, participating in Exercise African Lion 2018 in Morocco, April 17-27. When he isn’t conducting his Marine Corps duties, he is studying for his graduate degree in International Leadership and Education in hopes of spreading good leadership traits on an international scale.

“I’ve always had an interest in education and seeking out great leadership,” Reed said. “The Marine Corps allowed me to see that on an entirely different scale.”

The dedication that the Marine Corps instills in Reed motivates him to continue working hard towards his goal of earning his graduate degree.
“Being a noncommissioned officer, it has taught me what a good leader should be,” Reed said. “It’s given me the inspiration I need to finish my graduate and make a change.”
