The visitors, Air Force Maj. Gen. Edward P. Yarish, special assistant to the commander, Air Force Reserve Command, Marine Brig. Gen. Helen G. After the mission brief, the visitors toured the Maniilaq Health Center’s gastroenterology and dental sections where they had the chance to speak with several medical care providers about the work being done in support of the mission.

After the tour, the group took a short helicopter flight aboard an Alaska National Guard UH-60 Blackhawk to the town of Noatak, Alaska. There they stopped in to speak with servicemembers at the local health clinic about operations in the village.

In between the tour and speaking with care providers, the group had time to interact with residents and other staff in the clinic and hear their thoughts on how the Arctic Care support has helped.
