    Soldiers with the Illinois Army National Guard’s 1st Battalion, 178th Infantry Regiment complete training using the RQ-11 Raven Unmanned Aerial Vehicle on Badger Drop Zone on March 14, 2018, at Fort McCoy, Wis.

    More than 20 Soldiers participated in the training over the course of four days.

    The RQ-11 Raven is a lightweight unmanned aircraft system. It is designed for rapid deployment and high mobility.

    Fort McCoy has supported America’s armed forces since 1909. The post’s varied terrain, state-of-the-art ranges, new as well as renovated facilities, and extensive support infrastructure combine to provide military personnel with an environment in which to develop and sustain the skills necessary for mission success.
