Col. Christopher M. Faux will be promoted to brigadier general at a ceremony scheduled here on Mar. 3, 2018 at 3:30 p.m.
Col. Faux is currently serving as the vice-wing commander for the 102nd Intelligence Wing and after his promotion will become the new Assistant to the Adjutant General for the Massachusetts Air National Guard, at Joint Force Headquarters.
Previously, he served as the Director of Staff, Join Force Headquarters, Massachusetts Air National Guard. As the senior full time Air Guardsman in the Commonwealth, he was the primary advisor to the Adjutant General, Commander of the Massachusetts Air National Guard, and the Massachusetts Air Component Commander regarding command, control, operations, and management of assigned units.
Col. Faux commissioned out of Norwich University’s ROTC program in 1986 and joined the MA ANG in 1987. He was activated for Operations Desert Storm and Noble Eagle, and deployed for operation Southern Watch. He has held numerous leadership positions at the 102IW, working in bioenvironmental engineering, environmental management, and the mission support group. During his tenure as the Director of Environmental Operations, the 102 FW was selected for the ANG Environmental Quality Award in 1993 and again in 2003 as the ANG’s #1 environmental management office.
