    Madigan Army Medical Center

Madigan's Commander, Col. Michael Place, shares a special message on behalf of the Madigan family for the overwhelming support from the Joint Base Lewis-McChord community following the tragic December 18, 2017 Amtrak derailement near Dupont, Wa. The derailment on I-5 was met with a rapid response from first responders and emergency medical teams. As a Level II trauma center and partner in the Tacoma Trauma Trust, Madigan Army Medical Center accepts civilian trauma from the nearby I-5 corridor. Our staff is trained specifically for these types of scenarios and we want to thank our Emergency Department staff and all the medical professionals who are providing treatment to the injured victims of the Amtrak derailment crash.
