Marines at Fort McCoy for the 2nd Marine Air Wing’s Ullr Shield exercise participated in a variety of training on Jan. 17, 2018, at Fort McCoy, Wis.
Ullr Shield is a training exercise designed to improve 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing’s capabilities in extreme cold-weather environments.
The 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing is headquartered at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C.
Hundreds of Marines participated in the exercise at Fort McCoy, operating in austere conditions at many locations at the installation.
