MARCH AIR RESERVE BASE, Calif. (Feb. 10, 2017) – Members of the 163d Attack Wing donated blood during an American Red Cross blood drive held during a unit training assembly Jan. 8, 2017, at March Air Reserve Base, California.
Donors received t-shirts and vouchers for discounted L.A. Clippers, Anaheim Ducks, and the L.A. Kings sports tickets in exchange for their life-giving fluid.
The drive was held in conjunction with the Red Cross Battle of the Badges campaign, which pitted law enforcement, military and first responder organizations against one another to see which could donate the most blood.
45 donors gave a total of 42 pints of blood, which may potentially save 126 lives, officials said.
