“This drill was a great opportunity for the installation to continue working our plan of training for different anti-terrorism situations,” said Audrey Champange, NSA Souda Bay installation training officer. “The lessons that we were able to learn from this drill will help us to improve our performance during future exercises or any real-world situations.”
NSA Souda Bay was the first Naval Installations Command base to successfully complete the Final Evaluation Problem (FEP) drill in July 2017. Exercises such as this IED drill test the security force as part of a detailed and continuous plan to correct deficiencies and improve the installation’s security while preparing NSA Souda Bay for larger scale drills such as FEP.
