"It was so much fun to walk in the parade and see all the cool cars,” said Gabriel. "Great to be able to represent T176 where I live,” according to Scout Zachary.
Pack and Troop 176 began in 1956 and throughout its course of history have strived to provide a fun filled program that builds character, provides values-based leadership training, instills reverence, trains them in the responsibilities of participating in citizenship and develops overall personal fitness. They have combined these developmental aims with experiences of outdoor camping/adventure and good clean fun.
Cub Scouts is a year-round program for boys ages 5-10 years old and is organized into groups called packs and dens, each of which is led by dedicated volunteer leaders. Cub Scouts complete fun, learning -based adventures to earn their rank with the highest rank being the Arrow of Light.
Boy Scouts is a year-round program for boys ages 11–17 where they explore their interests and improve skills while working toward scouting’s highest rank of Eagle. A strong emphasis is placed on outings with peer group leadership with the counsel of an adult scoutmaster. Troop 176 has celebrated 11 young men earning Eagle Scout in the last five years and currently has two Eagle Scout candidates and four additional Life Scouts on their way to the next rank of Eagle.
Through the outreach of scouting, young boys are growing up to become more conscientious, responsible and productive members of society who are "Prepared.For.Life.®"
