The EFMP is a mandatory enrollment program that works with other military and civilian agencies to provide comprehensive and coordinated community support, housing, educational, medical, and personnel services to families with special needs.

“Events like this are important because it gives the kids something exciting to do,” said Sonya Dyer, school liaison and Exceptional Family Member Program support specialist. “Sometimes it’s very alienating and isolating so it gives them an opportunity to come together and meet other people who may be going through the same thing as they are.”

The families were treated to a special viewing of the Thunderbirds aerial performance. After the show, attendees were treated to a meet and greet with the Thunderbirds where children were allowed to pose for photographs with pilots and crew.
