BAGRAM AIR FIELD, Afghanistan - Afghan national security forces and coalition forces killed three militants in Arghandab District, Zabul province, Sept. 30, 2008.
ANSF and coalition forces were conducting a patrol in a densely vegetated area when they were engaged by militants using small-arms and rocket propelled grenade fire from a remote position.
Troops responded to the attack with small-arms, heavy weapons and indirect fire, killing three militants.
No ANSF, coalition forces or civilian casualties have been reported at this time.
