A new webApp resource, created by the 31st Force Support Squadron at Aviano Air Base, Italy, is available with capabilities to track hours for both on and off base volunteer activities.
Visit www.myairforcevolunteer.com to register as an individual user or organization. It’s also possible to create a shortcut on the home screen of internet capable phones. The site features instructional videos for users with questions about the functionality of the App. Members currently using the PVSA web site to track hours, can continue to do so without using the App if they prefer.
Children as young as 5-years-old can register to track hours toward a volunteer award. The site will track users’ progress toward a President’s Volunteer Service Award, which is awarded during Volunteer Recognition Ceremony facilitated by the 4th Force Support Squadron Airman & Family Readiness Center every April.
To register, visit the PVSA website at www.presidentialserviceawards.gov to create a username, password and profile. Use the Report of Service Key: PFS-54829 to link volunteer hours with Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, North Carolina.
The PVSA’s eligibility hours are measured over a 12-month period and awards are designated based on cumulative hours. The awards are offered in multiple levels and are designed to recognize each milestone of service achievements. Levels include Bronze, Silver, Gold and the highest honor, the President’s Lifetime Achievement Award for those who contribute more than 4,000 hours of service during their lifetime.
