MCGHEE TYSON AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, Tenn. - Col. Kevin M. Donovan will hand over command of the Air National Guard’s I.G. Brown Training and Education Center to Col. Kerry R. Lovely, June 1, during a Change of Command ceremony at McGhee Tyson Air National Guard Base in East Tennessee.

Colonel Donovan, who commanded the TEC since April 2016, is being reassigned as Chief, Cyber Division, Joint Staff, National Guard Bureau, Arlington, Va. Colonel Lovely takes command after serving as Chief of Diversity, Air National Guard, Joint Base Andrews, Md.

Colonel Lovely is a Minnesota National Guard officer who was commissioned in 1993 through the Academy of Military Science at TEC. She served as an enlisted Airman in Saint Paul, Minn., before her commission. She is a joint qualified officer with command experience, who served as a personnel officer and as a logistics readiness officer at the wing, state headquarters and National Guard Bureau level. Her overseas service includes Director of Operations, Deputy Chief of Staff Afghan National Security Forces Logistics for International Security Assistance Forces Joint Command in Kabul, Afghanistan.

Colonel Lovely’s personal awards include two Defense Meritorious Service Medals, five Meritorious Service Medals, four Air Force Commendation Medals, and three Air Force Achievement Medals, among other unit and service awards.

Brig. Gen. Steven S. Nordhaus, Commander, Air National Guard Readiness Center, Joint Base Andrews, MD., is scheduled to officiate the ceremony.
