The 316th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) in conjunction with the Pittsburgh Commissary and Post Exchange host the annual Armed Forces Day celebration at the Pittsburgh Commissary in Coraopolis, Pa., 19 May 2017.
The free event included a cake cutting celebration, free cook out sponsored by the Pittsburgh Commissary, military vehicle display, Central Blood Bank Drive and Veteran Affairs representatives from various departments to assist Soldiers, Sailors, Airman and people in the community.
The Armed Forces Day is a day to pay special tribute to the men and women of the Armed Forces. President Truman led the effort to establish a holiday in order for citizens to unite and to honor our military heroes for their patriotic service in support of the United States of America.
