    FORWARD OPERATING BASE FALCON, Iraq – Iraqi security forces detained five suspects in connection with an improvised explosive device attack against Multi-National Division-Baghdad Soldiers Aug. 25, 2008.

    Soldiers with the 1st Battalion, 24th Brigade, 6th Iraqi Army Division, detained the five Iraqis, who were found at the origin of a command detonated IED, at approximately 11:45 p.m. in the Saydiyah community of southern Baghdad's Rashid district. The suspects were then taken to a combat outpost for questioning.

    The unit reported no casualties in connection with the attack, and IA soldiers responded to help Soldiers of the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, MND-B secure the site.

    "The Iraqi army soldiers did a great job in catching those responsible for this attack," said Maj. Dave Olson, 1st BCT Spokesman, 4th Inf. Div., MND-B. "Thankfully, no one was hurt. These Soldiers continue their daily patrols throughout the Rashid district, working closely with the ISF, to provide a safe and secure area for the Iraqi citizens to live."
