JOINT BASE PEARL HARBOR-HICKAM, Hawaii – U.S. Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Hector Dominguez is appointed as the new Command Chief Master Sergeant for the Air Force Reserve’s 624th Regional Support Group effective March 1.

Located on Oahu and Guam, the 624th RSG mission is to deliver mission essential capability through combat readiness, quality management and peacetime deployments to any area of responsibility.

“I am very grateful for the opportunity to be part of the 624th Regional Support Group and serve our Airmen in Hawaii and Guam,” said Dominguez. “As the largest Air Force Reserve presence in the Pacific, this is a great opportunity to represent the Air Reserve Command in the Pacific Air Forces, and work together with our active duty and National Guard partners.”

Dominguez assumed responsibility from Command Chief Master Sgt. Michael M. Du, who retired in February after more than 25 years of distinguished service. Dominguez served as an individualized reservist security forces manager with the Air Force Global Strike Command prior to this assignment.

"Chief Dominguez’s diverse background will offer unique perspective in representing the enlisted force, making him an invaluable asset for this Group," said Col. Kenneth M. Lute, 624th RSG commander.

Dominguez joined the Army Reserve in 1998, and later transferred to the Air National Guard in 2003. In 2010, he transferred to the Air Force Reserve and served as a security forces craftsman. On his most recent deployment in January 2015, Dominguez served as the 332 Expeditionary Operations Support Squadron Superintendent at Al Jaber Air Base, Kuwait, where he worked with coalition forces in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. In his civilian career, Dominguez works for the Department of Justice.

As the command chief, Dominguez will represent the highest enlisted level within the 624th Regional Support Group, ensuring the enlisted perspective is known among senior leaders and that all Airmen understand the commander's intent and priorities.

The Group provides nearly 700 combat-ready Airmen who specialize in aerial port services, aeromedical support, and civil engineering operations for worldwide employment.

In this role, Dominguez will advise commanders and staff on mission effectiveness, military readiness, and the health and welfare of the group. He will also serve as mentor to other senior enlisted leaders throughout the command, which together serve Airmen across two geographically separated units.

“I’m honored to lead the enlisted force, and excited to learn from our experienced combat-proven Airmen,” said Dominguez. “I’ll work to ensure we maintain operational capability and an innovative future for our group.”
