United States Air Forces in Europe will participate in Real Thaw 17 in
Beja, Portugal from March 5-17, 2017. Real Thaw 17 is a Portuguese-led large force, flying exercise with multiple NATO Allies and partner nations.
The exercise will focus on airlift training, including formation and low-level
flying, assault landings, and personnel and equipment airdrops with
paratroopers from U.S. Army Europe and partner nations.
Multinational training engagements such as this strengthen
military-to-military relationships, increase NATO interoperability, and
demonstrate our commitment to the safety and security of the Alliance.”
